De italianen wilde ik zien in Assen. (drents museum) \u00a0Maar er was file in de ochtend. Rijkswaterstaat vergat snachts bij werkzaamheden strepen te trekken op een bepaald wegvlak richting Assen. Alles moest dicht en alles moest afgesloten want er zouden en moesten strepen getrokken. rijkswaterstaat staat op haar strepen. <br><br> nou dan maar naar assen via lelystad en ik tiepte de stoephoer in: \u00a0hup naar assen jij maar via lelystad. en nu komt het: in nederland kun je assen niet bereiken vanuit amsterdam zonder groningen aan te doen. maar dan moeten we toch eerst omhoog om daarna weer omlaag te gaan schreeuwde ik tegen de vlaamse stoephoer in mijn auto. ze bleef onverstoorbaar. \u2018niet keren\u2019, \u2018volg de aangegeven route\u2019, \u2018over 165 kilometer rechts aanhouden\u2019 &#8211; ja en OOK dan weer tientallen kilometers terug brulde ik in mijn japannertje. niets hielp. via groningen naar assen bepaalde stoephoer.<br><br> waarom tiep ik dit allemaal? uiteindelijk is assen gehaald en de terugweg naar amsterdam verliep vlekkenloos via zwolle en verder via een inmiddels goed gelijnde route. de italianen mooi &#8211; mooi geschilderd &#8211; italie bestaat vanaf 1861 leerde ik. in Assen zijn schilders en hun late 19<sup>e<\/sup> eeuwse schilderijen met romantische, met socialistische en met symbolische motieven te zien &#8211; en ook dat \u00e9ne doek met die onweerstaanbare vrouw en haar onweerstaanbare blik (\u201ccontemplatie\u201d van Vittorio Corcos). in mijn armoede kocht ik in de museumwinkel een knuffel &#8211; en op die knuffel heb ik vannacht mijn hoofd neergelegd om in te slapen denkend aan die ene onweerstaanbare vrouw. ach leefde ik maar in de 19<sup>e<\/sup> eeuw. wat een droom. nooit eerder zo gedroomd van
