Vlak voor de schemer uit. Da\u2019s altijd mooi. Maar mijn biertje smaakt niet meer. Ik ruik weer die geur van een jaar of drie geleden toen ik achterin de tuin het ontzielde lijf van een jonge ree aantrof. Midden op het gras lag ze dof starend in het niets. Het lag er al een poos. Geen fijn gezicht was het. Aan haar achterpoten heb ik haar over de beek getrokken. Naar het struikgewas. Even later stond ik naast een losgescheurde dij te kokhalzen. Dikvette maden vierden feest in het kadaver. The next day lag er niets dan bones. Die geur was blijkbaar onweerstaanbaar voor hen die graag de nacht vieren. Ook ik hou van duisternis. Mais sans mal odeur.
