Pom Wolff staat bekend om zijn associatieve, vrije stijl, waarbij beeldspraak, klank en onverwachte wendingen een centrale rol spelen. Zijn gedichten zijn vaak fragmentarisch, zintuiglijk, licht absurdistisch en bevatten soms een ondertoon van melancholie of vervreemding.<br><br>Hier is een gedicht in die stijl:<br><br>\u2e3b<br><br>tijdens het vouwen van de maan<br><br>de stoelen stonden recht als herinneringen<br>een vis gleed uit mijn ooghoek \u2013<br>blauw van binnen,<br>alsof hij iets wist<br><br>ik hield een lucifer tegen de wind<br>maar de wind was vergeten waarom<br><br><strong>onder mijn nagels kraakte het grind<br>van gisteren,<br>of misschien van een droom met te veel regen<br>en een vrouw die nergens begon<\/strong><br><br>de tijd droeg een hoed<br>met gaten erin<br><strong>alle uren vielen eruit<br>behalve die waarin je niets zei<br>maar alles hoorde<\/strong><br><br><strong>ik liep<br>niet naar voren<br>niet naar achter<br>maar langs de rand van je afwezigheid<\/strong><br>zoals een mier langs een god<br><br>\u2e3b<br><br>Laat me weten als
