Alle tijd. Het hele gezin nog op bed en de hond al uitgelaten. Dat is zo\u2019n moment, dat ik aangrijp om eens een lekker lange wandeling te maken. Dan trek ik mijn bergschoenen en camo broek aan en dan ga ik lopen. Ik zie er dan uit als een regelrechte landloper. Lekker doorstappen, alle tijd voor alle gedachten en ook het voorrecht ze allemaal te laten verwaaien. Een beetje rondkijken, luisteren naar de vogeltjes. Het zal de leeftijd wel zijn.<br>Een mooie route vanuit mijn huis loopt via de Rotte, door Terbregge, over de grote geluidswal van de snelweg. Deze geluidswal is ongeveer twintig meter hoog en biedt mooi uitzicht. Als je hem afloopt kun je onder de snelweg doorsteken naar het Kralingse Bos. Je komt dan binnen langs de Bosdreef en als je vijf minuutjes loopt sta je bij uitspanning de Eekhoorn, waar je lekker een bakje koffie kan drinken. Daar vandaan sta je zo aan de plas en heb je prachtig uitzicht op de skyline van Rotterdam.\u00a0<br><br>Het was ook een mooie ochtend om te joggen. Dat was me opgevallen aan de grote hoeveelheid mensen, die dat aan het doen waren. Aan grote groepen mensen erger ik mij in het algemeen. In mijn richting zag ik een vader en een zoon joggen. De vader had mijn leeftijd en de zoon die van de mijne. Het was een graad of achttien. Terwijl ze in mijn richting huppelden, zag ik de jongen zijn shirt uittrekken. Hij had een typisch jongenslichaam, dat ik van mijn eigen zoon herkende. Slank, gespierd en sixpack.\u00a0<br><br>Nu heb ik toevallig een vreselijke hekel aan dit soort hedonisme, waarschijnlijk, omdat ik zelf zo zou willen zijn. Maar dat doet daar verder niets aan af. Ik besloot de zondag wat jeu te geven en terwijl het tweetal langs me hobbelde, ontliet ik mij het woord \u2018uitslover\u2019 ontvallen. Daarop draaide de jongen op zijn as en riep me van twee meter afstand toe, \u2018Wat ik daar zei?\u2019. Ik herhaalde dat ik hem een uitslover vond, want zo warm was het niet en zo hard liepen ze ook niet. Zijn vader stond hijgend naast hem.\u00a0<br><br>\u2018Vader, die pauper noemt me een uitslover.\u2019 Ik moest lachen. Dat deed het. Hij stormde op me af en probeerde me een muilpeer te geven. Ik deed een stapje opzij en haakte hem pootje, waardoor hij op het gras naast het pad viel. Zijn vader deed twijfelend een stap in mijn richting. De zoon zag ik kijken naar mijn broek en hij merkte de clip van mijn zakmes op en riep naar zijn vader: \u2018Kijk uit paps, hij heeft een mes!\u2019 Toen moest ik weer heel hard lachen en zei: \u2018Zie hem daar liggen, zonder shirt.\u2019 Ik keek de vader met een glimlach aan. \u2018Dat ziet er toch niet uit.\u2019 Toen moest de vader ook lachen. \u2018Ja jongen, trek gewoon je T-shirt aan zoals het hoort\u2019. We wisselden nog een blik van verstandhouding.
